Build Your Holiday Pallet Decorations

So you say you’re not quite ready for the Guild?  How about making a decoration for your porch?  This is a great project for woodworkers of any level, including those brand new to the trade!  See pictures below of some holiday pallet decorations for complete beginners.

Our experienced instructor will walk you through step by step to complete this project.  Before you know it, your friends and neighbors will be admiring your new art work.

Pallets will be used for building, and will be provided on the first day of class (wood / materials cost listed below).

Pinelands Regional Community School Woodworking Guild is a dedicated group of amateur and experienced woodworkers, who come out to have fun while building great projects.  Some sample projects from past classes include: bookshelves, wine racks, wooden chests, window valances and refurbishing antique furniture, just to name a few.

Pick your own project, and bring your plans and building materials to class.  Our experienced instructor will guide you through to a successful project completion.

Exploring Little Egg Harbor/ Barnegat Bay by Kayak

Kayaking

Join us on a water-bound nature tour! Kayak along Little Egg Harbor / Barnegat Bay as we explore this pristine area in search of birds and other wildlife. Four tours are being offered.

Requirements: Some kayaking experience; aged 18+; Signed Waiver (listed below)

Location: We will meet at the old dock/slips located approximately 1/2 mile down from West Creek Canoe and Kayak Rental on your left

Advance your decorating skills to create professional looking cakes.  Using the Wilton Deluxe Practice Board and instruction from a Certified Wilton Method Instructor, learn over a dozen new border and accent techniques. Each technique is broken down into simple steps, ensuring success. Pre requisite is Course 2.

Additional Items will be needed for subsequent sessions.

Tall Cakes

Take your cake decorating to a whole new level! Find out how to build a perfectly constructed stacked cake. You'll also learn about other methods for created tiered cakes using a wide variety of products and ideas. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn how to correctly use dowel rods, separator plates, and pillars to build a stable cake. Prior decorating experience recommended.

Students will construct a stacked cake to decorate in class. The supplies listed are needed to complete the cake construction. In addition, students should bring the icing, tools and decorations they wish to use to decorate their stacked cake.

Learn how to decorate cupcakes with embossed fondant. Decorating cupcakes with fondant is a great introduction to the icing medium. Create dimensional designs that cover and embellish your cupcakes, adding a refined modern touch. Decorating with fondant has never been easier. *Recommended for all skill levels.

KidsKlass

Kids Klass Beginner Tennis

This course is an introduction to tennis for kids ages 8 – 11. Students will learn basic stroke progressions through a series of fun drills, games and instruction. The intent of this class is to get kids excited about playing tennis.

Designed for the true beginner, students will start with grip and stance, learn terminology and how to play the game of tennis. Emphasis will be on stroke technique and progression, including forehand, backhand, volley, serve, and footwork. Upon completing the course, students will be able to take the court and enjoy this heart-pumping life sport.

This class is for anyone who has knowledge of/or a history of playing tennis and is looking to improve on an already established game. In each class, we will review strokes and a have a cardio warm-up period. Students will participate in games-based approach drills designed to simulate live tennis action.  Students will see definitive stroke improvement through a series of drills that will cover tactic and strategy for both singles and doubles.

Each class will start with a cardio warm-up period. Students will engage in intense games-based approach drills designed to simulate live tennis action. Students can expect a high level cardio hit session that will cover tactic and strategy for both singles and doubles. 

 

Note: Only past Intermediate Class players may sign up for this class - the only exception is anyone with an “NTRP” rating of 4.0 or higher.
